FR. BRONZINI Giocondo Antonio
Giocondo Antonio Bronzini was born in Portovenerein in the province of La Spezia, Italy. In Armeno on September 29, 1956, he was vested in the religious habit and on September 30 of the year 1957 he was his first vows.
In October of 1960, he moved to the International House of Studies in Rome where he completed his theological studies. On March 19, 1966, he was ordained a priest.
At the beginning of 1976, he went as a missionary to Brazil. On June 17, 1987, he was elected by the Chapter Delegates as General Councilor.
In 1990, he took part in the Fourth Council of the Congregation. On April 17, 1994, he is a member ex-officio of the Thirteenth General Chapter in Rome, and he is re-elected as Councilor. He is the named Secretary and Procuartor General.
In the year 2000, he takes part in the Fourteenth General Chapter as an ex-officio member. The Superior General confirms him in the offices of Secretary and Procurator General. In 2005, he is a member ex-officio of the Sixth Council of the Congregation.
For many years he was director of the history section of the International Josephite-Marellian Center.
In the month of May 2005, he was assumed by the office of the Secretary of State in the Vatican by a special contract, for services in assistance to the Italian Section. On May 14, 2010, after five years of service, he asks to be exonerated and receives from the Secretary of State, Cardinal Bertone, a certificate of recognition for the service rendered to the Secretary.
After the General Chapter in 2012 he is confirmed in his duties of Secretary and Procurator General.
