Priestly ordination of Fr Michele Fiore osj

Foggia (Italy): 31st October, the vigil of all Saints our Congregation was in feast, because our confrere, Deacon Michele was ordained priest. The celebration presided over by Vincenzo Pelvi, archbishop of Foggia, and concelebrated by a good number of priests, both Oblates and diocesan, was held at the Parish of Beata Vergine Madre della Chiesa in Foggia, native city of the newly ordained. In his homely, the archbishop, based on the readings of the day, spoke about the concept of holiness as universal call accessible for all, and addressing the candidate, reminded him how dangerous it is to be a priest, because it demands renouncing oneself in order to lose oneself in God.

With his heart still moved for what God has done in Fr Michele, we heard with joy the words of greetings which Fr Superior General Fr Jan Pelczarski OSJ addressed to the newly ordained priest wishing that he may be above all a man of God after the example of our holy Founder. The celebration ended with moving words of Fr Michele who encased his thanksgiving in a very beautiful prayer he himself wrote and offered to St Joseph to whom he has entrusted himself during the years of formation.
